Youth Sailing
These courses are the ideal way to introduce your children to the water, to give them a new found confidence, to make new friends and to learn a new skill. Colwyn Bay Watersports run sailing sessions for kids with all instruction, kit and equipment needed.
Catamaran Sailing
The stunning blue flag beach at Colwyn Bay is the perfect stretch of water to learn Catamaran sailing.
Colwyn Sailing Club
Renowned for being one of the best sailing spots on the North Wales coast, the cruising club here is an affiliated member of the RYA with moorings allocated by the Conwy Harbour Authority. Having its boat park 200 yards west of the harbour at Rhos Point, any boats not in use are securely covered by a CCTV system. Imagine that you could own not only your own static caravan but also a sailing boat and a mooring in the very fine Colwyn Bay. You can sail the entire Bay, which has a maximum 1.5-knot tide and normally good sea conditions due to the shelter from the prevailing southwesterly winds. You are sure of an amazing sailing experience with spectacular views of the Snowdonia National Park mountains and the two Ormes.
Colwyn Canoe Club
You are guaranteed a friendly welcome at this venue if you are new to canoeing or are an experienced paddler. Beginners who join the club are allowed to loan the boats and ancillary kit necessary for sailing including wet and dry suits, helmets, buoyancy aids and paddles. They offer a variety of craft you can try such as open canoes, slalom kayaks, sea kayaks and whitewater kayaks.
Colwyn Jet Ski Club
Members here are offered a safe environment for family Jet Ski activities, plus the advice and help from local, experienced jet skiers. This year is their 20th Anniversary and they are celebrating with lots of family fun days and organised ride outs to sea.
