Chepstow Castle, Castell Roc Festival -18 to 29 August
This is a welcoming festival held inside Chepstow Castle, where visitors can enjoy a week long calendar of various entertainments and live music performances. All shows are unseated, open air evening events with food and a licensed bar available inside the castle.
Colwyn Garden Railway, West End, Colwyn Bay, Clwyd LL29 7NB Saturday 27 August
This Garden Scale Railway is set in a private garden which opens only occasionally to the public. The charity event charges an admission cost of £1 per person, and if you choose to ride on the train, rides cost just 20p.
Bodnant Garden, 50 things to see and do before you are 11 ¾ – Sat 27 Aug to Mon 29 Aug
This National Trust event suggests 50 activities that you must try including den building, fossil hunting, barefoot walking and playing Pooh sticks. Expect hours of fun for all the family.
