Festivals and Feasts Near Caravan Parks in Wales

Festivals and feasts near caravan parks Wales

If you are lucky enough to be taking a holiday or mini-break, there is plenty to do near caravan parks in Wales this weekend.

From a fire festival and banquet in two castles to a Plum Feast and Apple Festival – we know how to party in Wales. Naturally, all include music and plenty of food and drink.

Caernarfon Castle – 30 September and 1 October 2016

Commencing at 7 pm the castle will host a glowing Fire Festival (Caernarfon Alight) in celebration of the Year of Adventure.  Join the torch procession on Friday night along the waterfront, watch sculptures unexpectedly light up in flames and visit the fire garden in the grounds of the castle.

If you haven’t already purchased tickets there will be limited availability at the castles gates.  However, anyone can join the procession. Find out more about events  on Caernarfon Alight

Ruthin Castle – 1 October 2016

Step back in time and enjoy the type of medieval feast that the Earl of Warwick and his guests had at Ruthin Castle (http://www.ruthincastle.co.uk/)  in the 16th Century. Remember seeing those films with Henry VIII tearing food apart and eating it by hand? That’s exactly what you will be able to do and you’ll have your own dagger to assist you.

This is an authentic medieval night complete with court Jester and a feast fit for kings!  To find out how you can eat, drink and make merry – click on Medieval Feasts or call 01824 702664.

Smaller festivals include the Denbigh Plum Feast and at Wrexham, the Erdigg Apple Festival both held on 1 October 2016. There will be plenty of fruit and cider to enjoy at these events.

As most static caravan owners will tell you, there is always something going on in or near caravan parks Wales. Some caravan parks are open all year round. Others close for a month or two during the winter.  But there is no doubt that they represent by far the best value for money in self-catering holiday accommodation.
